Information
The last day before the city: a comfortable 20.6 kilometres leaving San Pedro de Rozados between farmland and holm-oak groves, passing through Morille and Miranda de Azán. From the rise before the city its skyline finally appears, and all that remains is to drop into the Tormes valley and cross the Roman bridge into Salamanca, a World Heritage city.
This stage is part of the Silver Route. Would you like to walk it with your accommodation already booked? These organised trips include it: Silver Way from Mérida to Salamanca and Silver Way from Salamanca to Puebla de Sanabria.
Salamanca is golden stone and university life. The Plaza Mayor, one of the most beautiful in Europe, the Casa de las Conchas, the two cathedrals standing side by side, and the university façade, where everyone looks for the famous frog. At dusk the city lights up, and the tapas scene around Van Dyck never disappoints.Photos
