Information
We are faced with a relaxed stage with gentle slopes, although we will reach an altitude of 1000 meters. We will have two intermediate towns where we can rest between one village and the next. For this reason, you do not need to stock up on many supplies in Calzada de Béjar, as this stage will proceed with few inconveniences until we arrive at the Salamanca town of Fuenterroble de Salvatierra.
This stage is part of the Silver Route. Would you like to walk it with your accommodation already booked? These organised trips include it: Silver Way from Mérida to Salamanca.
A short, restful stage, and one of the best waymarked on the Vía de la Plata: Roman milestones keep you company for much of the way. You leave La Calzada de Béjar alternating path and tarmac until you cross the river Sangustín, heading for Valverde de Valdelacasa and Valdelacasa. The last four kilometres are a gentle descent to Fuenterroble de Salvatierra.Photos
