GENERAL BOOKING CONDITIONS

The realization of the reservation of any of our products implies full acceptance by the customer of the general conditions of contract, subject to the following clauses:

– It is the sole and exclusive responsibility of the client to read and understand the general booking conditions prior to their acceptance, as well as all the documentation sent by the company for the correct development of the contracted services.

– Viajes Camino de Santiago has a compulsory civil liability insurance, complying with the current legal regulations established for travel agencies.

– Customers are informed that all prices of the products of Viajes Camino de Santiago, indicated both on the web (www.viajescaminodesantiago.com), as in catalogs, brochures or budgets, will be valid except typographical error, which may be corrected by the company in writing.

– The services contracted will be specified in detail in the catalogue or brochure of each of the different trips or products, as long as the client has not requested a personalised quote. In this case, the contracted services will be fully detailed in the quotation sent, after purchase, by the company to the client.

– In the case of variations in the contracted services subject to availability issues, such as the non-inclusion of the private bathroom service in the category of hostels and pensions; Viajes Camino de Santiago will inform the client of the situation to request authorization to make the reservation according to the modification of the service indicated. In case of disagreement the company will proceed to the full refund of the total amount of the reservation to the customer.

– The purchase of a product by the customer, may be made through the purchase link on the website or by requesting a form to the company, by the various existing communication channels.

– Viajes Camino de Santiago reserves the right to refuse or cancel the purchase within 5 working days of contracting the service, proceeding to refund the full amount received.

– In connection with the above, in the event that the customer purchases a trip with an imminent departure date that prevents the realization of the same, the customer is entitled to a refund of the full amount of the reservation without penalty.

PAYMENT METHOD

Viajes Camino de Santiago offers its customers the following payment methods: bank transfer, credit card, bizum or Pay-Pal. Regarding the terms and methods of payment of a reservation, the customer must take into account the following clauses:

– To make effective the reservation of any of the products offered, the customer will have to make a deposit of 50% of the total reservation. The remaining amount is to be paid in a second payment.

– The payment of the remaining amount, which would add up to the total amount of the trip, must be paid by the customer no later than 30 calendar days before the contracted start date of the trip. If this is not the case, the agency reserves the right to proceed to the cancellation of the reservation, losing the client the amount paid up to the date of booking.

– Payments can be made by the following methods: credit or debit card, Pay-Pal and bank transfer.

– The client must at all times, follow the booking instructions when making the payment of the same, complying with the rules regarding deadlines and nomination of concepts and references, otherwise the agency may not consider the reservation as valid.

– In the event that the agency cannot offer the requested trip for reasons beyond the organization’s control (availability of dates, reservations or other reasons…), Viajes Camino de Santiago may cancel the reservation within 5 working days of receipt of the reservation, and the client will receive a full refund of the reservation deposit paid.

MODIFICATION OF THE RESERVATION

In the event that Viajes Camino de Santiago makes changes for various reasons, such as overbooking, lack of availability or others, will be communicated to the customer with maximum notice offering the options of accepting the service in accordance with the changes notified or proceed to change the dates of the reservation at no additional cost. In case of disagreement we offer the possibility of proceeding to the cancellation of the reservation, receiving the customer a full refund of the amount paid to the agency.

The client has the right to request modifications to his reservation, understood as: changes of dates, holders, contracted services, supplements or other variants; up to a maximum period of 15 calendar days prior to the start of the trip. No changes or modifications are allowed less than 15 days before the trip.

The handling of such modifications by the customer shall be stipulated as follows:

  • Change of contracted dates: 10% of the total amount of the trip.
  • Modification of the room distribution: 10 % of the total trip amount
  • Modification of the contracted itinerary: 15% of the total amount of the trip.
  • Extension of people: It will be done as long as there is availability for it and it will not have any added cost.

Please note that the consumer is solely responsible for any additional costs incurred as a result of changes to their booking.

CANCELLATION OF THE RESERVATION

All cancellation requests must be notified to Viajes Camino de Santiago via the following e-mail address: [email protected] Below are the cancellation conditions for the different types of travel offered.

Travel on your own

If for any reason the client decides to cancel the reservation before the beginning of the same, he/she must take into account the following conditions of penalty and compensation to the agency Viajes Camino de Santiago:

– If the cancellation occurs more than 30 days before the start of the trip, the company will charge the customer 15% of the total price of the trip.

– If the cancellation occurs between 15 and 30 days before the start of the trip, the company will charge the customer 50% of the total price of the trip.

– If the cancellation occurs less than 15 days before the trip, the company will charge the customer 100% of the total price of the trip.

– If the booking includes a cancellation insurance, you will have to ignore the ordinary conditions, paying explicit attention to the special conditions “with cancellation insurance” detailed in later points.

Viajes Camino de Santiago reserves the right to cancel or reject a reservation within 5 working days of receipt of the same, for logistical reasons or availability, proceeding in this case to the full refund of the amount paid by the customer.
In case the client does not show up for the trip and does not notify the agency, he/she will not be entitled to any refund.

Organized group travel:

If for any reason the client decides to cancel the reservation before the beginning of the same, he/she must take into account the following conditions of penalty and compensation to the agency Viajes Camino de Santiago.

– If the cancellation occurs more than 30 days before the start of the trip, the company will proceed to the full refund of the amount paid by the customer.

– If the cancellation occurs between 30 and 15 days before the trip, the company will charge the customer 50% of the total cost of the trip.

– If the cancellation occurs less than 15 days before the start of the trip, the company will charge the client 100% of the total cost of the trip.

– If the booking includes a cancellation insurance, you will have to ignore the ordinary conditions, paying explicit attention to the special conditions “with cancellation insurance” detailed in later points.

– In case the client does not show up for the trip and does not notify the agency, he/she will not be entitled to any refund.

– In the event that the trip is subject to a minimum number of participants and this is specified in the characteristics and details of the product, Viajes Camino de Santiago may cancel the trip at least 30 days before the established starting date.
In this case, the customer may choose to modify the reservation or cancel it, receiving in this case the full refund of the amount paid.

CANCELLATION BY COVID

In the event of force majeure arising from Covid 19, the trip may be cancelled free of charge, subject to the following stipulations

  • Positive in Covid 19 in the dates close to the trip
  • Direct contact with a positive
  • Perimeter closure of the place of origin or of destination

In the above cases, detailed and validated information will be required to approve the cancellation and refund request.

Transfer of the reserve

In the event that the client decides to make a change of ownership, he/she will have to notify at least 5 working days before the date of the trip. It will be the responsibility of the contracting party to adjust the payments with the substitute person, in such a way that the agency will not be involved in the present economic transaction between the participants.

CANCELLATION INSURANCE

Viajes Camino de Santiago offers its clients the possibility of contracting the following cancellation insurance, which will cover cancellation expenses for various contingencies, mainly medical, family or work-related reasons.

Cancellation insurance with COVID-19 coverage:

If the client takes out cancellation insurance and needs to cancel their trip for reasons stated in the policy, they will receive a full refund, with the exception of the amount paid for the insurance, the cost of which is non-refundable.

. Please note that Viajes Camino de Santiago will not be responsible for reimbursement if the insurer states that the reasons for the cancellation are not properly justified or are not included in the contracted policy.

In spite of having this insurance contracted, once the trip has begun, the suspension, modification, or interruption of the services or voluntary withdrawal by the client for personal reasons or of any other nature, will not give rise to any reimbursement of the services contracted and not enjoyed.

OTHER ISSUES

Bus booking conditions:

– The bus transportation service is unique and exclusive to the organized group travel mode and will be available for the dates specified.

– The bus ticket is non-refundable, however it can be transferred to a third person by notifying the agency in advance in accordance with the established booking modification deadlines.

– If any part of the journey must be made through an intermediary and external company, the agency will be responsible for the management, cost and delivery of the tickets to the customer.

– Bus departure times in each city may vary for various reasons, such as traffic or traffic problems. In this case Viajes Camino de Santiago will not be responsible for delays due to reasons beyond the control of the organization.

– If a customer arrives at the departure later than the established time, he/she will miss the bus and the company will not be responsible for any kind of refund.
