Today we will have a break from yesterday's long stage, and we will have a stage of lesser difficulty in terms of slopes and with shorter mileage. We will descend from Monesterio to the Bodión stream, from which point we will begin to level out until we reach the town of Fuente de Cantos amidst fields typical of the Extremadura region.

A short stage with a friendly profile, a breather after the previous one. You leave Monesterio on a dirt track and cross the Bodión Chico stream among pastures and crops, with very little traffic and a lot of silence. After a brief rise, Fuente de Cantos appears on the horizon, birthplace of the painter Zurbarán. Carry enough water: there are no supply points along the way.Photos
