Information
Short stage in which we can choose how to arrive in Cea, as we will be presented with two options at the exit of Ourense: Through Tamallancos or through Canedo. Both options are similar, with several ups and downs and the constant presence of asphalt. Once we reach our destination, Cea, we will enjoy a good plate of homemade food accompanied by its renowned bread.
This stage is part of the The Sanabrian Way.
You set off from Ourense, leaving the Miño valley behind to climb into the Galician interior. Through oak woods, vineyards and small hamlets, the day's walk brings you to Cea, home of the famous Pan de Cea, the first bread in Spain to earn Protected Geographical Indication status. Very close by stands the monumental Oseira monastery. A good place to rest before the queen stage.
