Stage of long distance, from Santa Marta de Tera, which can be divided into shorter sections according to the preferences of the pilgrim, although the original stage ends in Mombuey. It is characterized by its frequent elevation changes and abundant vegetation. We will walk along the banks of the Tera River and on dirt paths surrounded by pines, oaks, and holm oaks.
This stage is part of the The Sanabrian Way.
A very long but gentle stage, almost always alongside the river Tera, among riverside woods and poplar groves. You pass Calzadilla de Tera and Olleros before crossing the dam of the Agavanzal reservoir, with its sanctuary. Then come the pine and oak woods of Villar de Farfón and the descent to the Río Negro as far as Rionegro del Puente, from where nine kilometres remain to Mombuey.Photos
