Oyambre Natural Park
the heart of the Oyambre Natural Park, until we get on the road to Colombres.
We leave Comillas along Marqués de Comillas street, and cross the Rabia estuary along the CA-131 road, to head towards Colombres, entering fully into the Oyambre Natural Park.
We continue to San Vicente de la Barquera, passing through the district of Gerra and crossing the San Vicente estuary over the La Maza bridge. We can make a short stop on the way to visit the village of San Vicente de la Barquera. From here, we continue towards Acebosa and Hortigal, the latter being the starting point of the marvellous Camino Lebaniego.
We continue our way towards Serdio, finding another fork to the south that starts the Lebaniego Way. Later we cross the river Nansa to reach Pesués and we are about to leave the Cantabrian lands. We move forward from Pesués towards Unquera, taking the river and the train tracks as a reference.
Already in Unquera, after finishing the Juncal walk, we cross the river Deva and enter Asturias by the hand of Colombres, capital of the council of Ribadedeva.
To consider
This stage runs along several stretches of road that separate the Cantabria of Comillas and the Asturian town of Colombres. As we always say, be very careful with the sections that run close to the road.
