Stage 7. Zafra – Villafranca de los Barros (19.8 km)

We leave Zafra through the Plaza Grande on the way to the N-432, which will lead us to the tower of San Francisco, which will take us away from the city on our way to the ascent of the Alto de San Cristóbal, from where we can see Villafranca de los Barros. Once we reach the 612 metres of the Alto de San Cristóbal, we begin to descend towards Los Santos de Maimona to the path of the Ribera del Robledillo. We leave Santos de Maimona behind us on our way to a local road near the EX-364, which will take us to a wide track between cereals and olive trees. From here we will continue to the railway tracks, which we must cross by a level crossing and we will access the N-630 to cross under the A-66.

From here we will go through a ring road that takes us to the entrance of Villafranca, where we will enter from Zurbarán street, which leads us to the Plaza de España.

To consider

If we leave from Zafra, this is a short and easy stage, so many pilgrims decide to extend it to the next town, leaving Villafranca de los Barros behind. As we always say, everyone chooses their own way, but we do not recommend this option, as the next town is a little more than seventeen kilometers from here, so we recommend you to be patient.
