From Alija del Infantado to La Bañeza - Viajes Camino de Santiago

Today we face a mostly flat stage on dirt roads parallel to the LE-114, which lead us from the town of Alija del Infantado to La Bañeza accompanied all the time by the river Jamuz. We leave Alija del Infantado from the Plaza Mayor and head towards the LE-114, which will accompany us practically the whole day until we reach La Bañeza. We go from there to the road to La Nora, where we will go in about five kilometres to the village of Quintana de Marco. We cross the village of Quintana de Marco in the direction of Villanueva del Jamuz, which we will see after a little more than three kilometres.

We leave the town of Villanueva de Jamuz behind us, parallel to the river on the left hand side, and we reach a small poplar plantation, which we continue until we reach a grassy path that takes us to the town of Santa Elena de Jamuz. We will continue through this town to join the LE-114, from where we reach a fork that gives us the option of continuing along a track near the road or along the road itself, although we recommend always staying away from the asphalt. We continue until we reach a photovoltaic plant that leads us back to the highway. This time the A-6, where we cross an underpass that takes us directly to the entrance to La Bañeza.

This stage will run from Alija del Infantado, all along the way, near a road that connects directly with La Bañeza, but almost all the way you can be parallel to it, instead of on its shoulder.
