Stage 17. Calzada de Béjar – Fuenterroble de Salvatierra (27.9 km)

We leave Calzada de Béjar, leaving the church behind us, to go out onto the road, which will take us to a path that will accompany us on our way to Fuenterroble de Salvatierra. We continue and cross the C-515 to reach a walk next to Roman milestones that accompany us until we cross the river Sangustín, which returns us to a path after a few meters of asphalt to continue to Valverde de Valdelacasa. We leave this village, but not before taking a break, and continue close to the road to Guijuelo until we reach the village of Valdelacasa.

We cross this road to cross Valdelacasa to return to a dirt track that takes us back to a road track that we will follow until we leave behind a quarry. We then take the local road that will take us straight on for about four kilometres of gentle descent to Fuenterroble e Salvatierra, the end of today’s stage.

To consider

This stage is quite short and restful, as well as being quite well signposted by milestones and by the Camino’s own signposting. Although the stage is short, we do not recommend extending it to the next town, as this is almost fifteen kilometers away from Fuenterroble de Salvatierra, making the stage too long if you are inFuenterroble de Salvatierra. We start in Calzada de Béjar, so we recommend you to spend the night here and enjoy this charming place.
