This is an extremely interesting stage in terms of landscape and nature. We have two options to get to Cadavedo, which do not cross each other until we reach our destination: one option goes from Soto de Luiña, along the coast, by the Ballotas path, and the other option goes through the mountains, by the Palancas path. Both routes are impressive, we have a hard time choosing, which one do you choose?
This stage is part of the Northern Way. Would you like to walk it with your accommodation already booked? These organised trips include it: Northern Way from Ribadesella to Ribadeo.
From Soto de Luiña you choose between two beautiful routes: the Ruta de las Palancas, through the hills, a little tougher but with a bird's-eye view of the Asturian cliffs; or the Camino Real de las Ballotas, past gems like Playa del Silencio. Both lead you to Cadavedo, a charming coastal village.
