Stage 3. Vila Franca de Xira – Azambuja (20 km)

We start the journey from Vila Franca de Xira heading to Azambuja, with a distance of 20 kilometres.

A short stage that goes by in a flash, and with it you really leave the Lisbon area behind. You leave Vila Franca de Xira over the railway and pass under the great bridge that crosses the Tagus. Then dirt tracks that avoid the main road take you past the stations of Castanheira and Carregado to Vila Nova da Rainha. The day ends early in Azambuja.
