Stage 10. Cernache – Coímbra (11.3 km)

We start the journey from Cernache heading to Coimbra, with a distance of 11.3 kilometres.

Barely a couple of hours' walk, and with a prize at the end. You leave Cernache on a slight climb through Pousada and Palheira, pass the remains of an old aqueduct and go up to the Santa Clara and Mesura districts, with lovely views of the city. Before crossing the Mondego you can visit the monastery of Santa Clara-a-Nova, and then all that is left is to surrender to Coimbra.
