Tierra de Campos

Tierra de Campos is a natural region located in the autonomous community of Castilla y León, which extends through the provinces of Palencia, Valladolid, Zamora and León. The Castle of Montealegre de Campos

In the context of this land is located the Castle of Montealegre de Campos, in the town of Montealegre de Campos in the province of Valladolid. It was originally built in the 13th century by Alfonso Téllez de Meneses and its high walls were fortunate enough not to be conquered. In fact, it is one of the most impressive medieval fortifications in the province.
The parade ground is now a place for concerts, which are programmed during the summer as part of the Castle Evenings, organised by the Valladolid Provincial Council. The building was restored to make it suitable for public visits and an Interpretation Centre on the history of the fortress was also created. It is an important and significant heritage site that is well worth a visit.

The Lagunas de Villafáfila Nature Reserve

It is in this case is a protected natural area that is located in the northeastern quadrant of the province of Zamora. The lagoons are located in an area where the Lands of Campos and Pan meet, corresponding to the interfluve of the rivers Esla and Valderaduey. It stands out for being a small depression surrounded by tesos, which has produced a small endorheic basin that is hardly vertebrate by the Salado river. A landscape of fantastic beauty in which the contrasts of colours catch the eye and the fresh air is more than enough.
