The last stage of the Primitive Way takes you from Lavacolla to Santiago de Compostela, the final 10 km through forests, quiet paths and the growing emotion of arriving at the Obradoiro square.
The final ten kilometres from Lavacolla, next to Santiago's airport, where tradition says pilgrims washed before presenting themselves to the Apostle. The path climbs Monte do Gozo, the spot where the cathedral towers appear for the first time, and then drops through the city outskirts into the old town and the Obradoiro square. A short morning with the best possible ending.
