Information
You'll start your adventure in the bohemian and beautiful city of Porto, home to a large number of heritage sites and cultural legacies of Portuguese history. We recommend arriving in the morning, dropping your things at the accommodation and heading out. You can start your visit at Avenida dos Aliados, the heart of the city, emblem of the locals and gathering point for many cultural events. Stop by Praça da Liberdade and stroll up to the famous and beautiful Livraria Lello e Irmão. Right next door, a visit to the Torre dos Clérigos is a must. Porto is, in short, a magnificent start for the Portuguese Way.
For a snack we suggest trying the famous francesinhas and, for dessert, a pastel de nata. After lunch you can walk down to the Ribeira, passing by the São Bento station and the Cathedral. Porto is a wonderful city to get lost in the streets of its monumental quarter… cobblestones, azulejos, colours, wine, culture and tradition meet in its narrow alleys.
