A short, simple stage, though with fewer villages than the previous ones: set off well stocked with water and food. On leaving Portomarín it's worth detouring to the prehistoric site of Castromaior, perfectly signposted. With some ups and downs to take at an easy pace, you finish in Ventas de Narón and its small chapel of A Madalena, with its door carved with the cross and the scallop shell.
