You leave A Rúa de Valdeorras across the Roman bridge of A Cigarrosa heading for Petín, among vineyards and the Sil valley. The great moment of the day is Montefurado: in the 2nd century the Romans pierced the mountain to divert the river and mine its gold, and that colossal work gave the place its name. Then O Ermidón and Bendilló leave you in Quiroga, land of oil and wine.Photos
