You will say goodbye to Santillana del Mar heading towards Comillas, a very touristic historical town that has become the main beach destination of the area.
You will continue the route towards the beautiful Oyambre beach, very close to San Vicente de la Barquera. After leaving this town, you will pass through Torre de Estrada and a fun descent path from Pesués to Unquera, where you cannot leave without trying the famous "corbatas" pastries at Royal III, you will get your fill of chocolate. You will say goodbye to Unquera crossing the border between Cantabria and Asturias, a community that will welcome you with a tough climb up to Colombres.
