This is undoubtedly the most beautiful stage of the entire Northern Way by bike from Irún. Today is for enjoying!
After leaving Colombres, you will take a beautiful coastal path, the most scenic section of the stage. You will pass by spectacular settings such as Vidiago beach, the Bufones de Arenillas and the Ballota viewpoint. From the viewpoint you can descend to Llanes by road or take the path that borders the golf course, a longer and tougher option.
After the obligatory stop in Llanes for lunch, you will return again to the coastal path passing Poo and Celorio beaches and the spectacular church of Nuestra Señora de los Dolores. You can visit the famous Gulpiyuri beach, which only appears at high tide, Huelga beach, the paradisiacal Cuevas de Mar beach and the hidden Villanueva beach. So many beaches! After a salty dip, you will pedal with renewed energy along paths to Ribadesella, your end of stage.
