Stage 8. Rodeiro – Lalín (23.5 km)

We leave Rodeiro taking the regional road towards Lalín. After reaching A Ponte, we leave the road behind to walk now between paths and wooded dirt tracks of great charm. Intermittently following the course of the river Arnego, we will pass through the villages of Penerbosa, A Puza, A Penela and Eirexe de Pedroso.

From Eirexe de Pedroso we continue along an asphalted stretch until we reach ed Laxas, famous for its trout.

After crossing a stone bridge and continuing along the road, we will turn off towards the Val do Boi, to then begin a progressive ascent towards the Coto de Anta.

From here, we will continue following the signs until we reach the stream of O Rego de Ribadeiro, from where we will continue along a charming rural road to Palmaz. From Palmaz we will continue until we come across the road that connects Lalín with Monforte, which we will have to cross with extreme caution, to continue our way to the place of Lagazós, already in the vicinity of Lalín.

To consider

We will not find many services in this stage, so it is advisable to leave with enough water and food. At this stage your route merges with the Sanabrés Way and with the last stretch of the Vía de la Plata. The finish line is not far away, keep up the good work!
