The church and Casa Fortaleza of Camba
The church and the Casa Fortaleza de Camba form an architectural and historical complex of great interest, also known as Casa de Forte de San Xoán. Its original name alludes to one of the oldest noble families in Galicia, the Camba, who were also related to the Rodeiro. The fortress presents an architecture with references to the Middle Ages in the context of a walled enclosure with two towers. Although the original construction was destroyed in the 15th century, it was remodelled between the 16th and 17th centuries to become a pazo. As it is a private building, access to the interior is not allowed, but you can enjoy its exterior architecture and get an excellent visual reference of past times.
The Manuel Lamazares Municipal Cultural Center
In Rodeiro you can also visit this cultural centre which was inaugurated in 1993. It was initially opened as a House of Culture with a large library inside and an auditorium with a capacity for 94 people.
