One of the best kept secrets of Galicia. Located in the south of the province of Lugo and north of Ourense, the deep and winding canyons on the river Sil keep a natural, cultural, gastronomic and ethnographic heritage that has made them strong candidates to be declared a World Heritage Site in 2022.

Travel Itinerary

From one of the piers of the Sil River you will enjoy the tranquility that you can breathe in this place. Through a pleasant morning catamaran ride, the spectacular views of the vineyards, monasteries and canyons will leave images to remember.

After this magnificent boat trip with its corresponding glass of wine from the Ribeira Sacra Denomination of Origin, we will head for one of the most spectacular viewpoints in the area, from where we can admire the majesty of the canyons on the Sil River…

This area has always been linked to the monasteries of the orders that were most important in Santiago and on the Way. Due to its beauty and landscape value we will visit one of the most important, the Monastery of Santo Estevo de Ribas de Sil, currently a National Parador, whose privileged location will allow us to enjoy unique views.

After lunch you will have a wonderful opportunity to visit the old Roman Auria. Ourense is one of the historical cities of Galicia, and has been of vital economic importance, as a place of passage to the rest of the peninsula as well as cultural, as it has seen the birth of groups of intellectuals such as the Nós Group, closely linked to the history of Galicia. But if something stands out in this city are its thermal baths and its springs of sulphurous waters, which have earned it the first place as a thermal destination in the Community and among the most important in Spain. You will have the opportunity to discover this and more with our guided tour.
