From Lires to Muxía there are 14.3 kilometres through the inland Costa da Morte, one of the loneliest stretches on the way to Finisterre: set off with water and something to eat. You cross the river Castro and link up hamlets, Frixe, Guisamonde and Morquintián, until the last effort, Monte Facho de Lourido. Then it is downhill with the Atlantic ahead to the sanctuary of A Virxe da Barca.
