From Fisterra to lires

Information

Lires is a charming Galician hamlet, famous for its rural houses and its proximity to the Camino dos Faros. It offers a peaceful atmosphere, ideal for resting among natural and cultural landscapes.

This stage is part of the Route to Finisterre and Muxía.

A short transition stage between Fisterra and Lires: 13.5 kilometres through the inland Costa da Morte, moving away from the cape along tracks, hamlets and small woods. Lires is a sheltered village on the estuary of the river Castro, quiet and full of rural charm, ideal for splitting the walk to Muxía in two. Set off with water: there is hardly anywhere to stock up on the way.
