The yellow arrows lead you out of Ponferrada past its famous Castillo de los Templarios, crossing the Sil river. The route bypasses the industrial areas via Columbrianos and Camponaraya and soon enters pleasant vine-covered fields on to Cacabelos, the capital of cherries and a land of good Bierzo wines.
