Around eight in the evening you will be gathered with the rest of the group for an information meeting where our guides will give a talk about the itinerary, answer your questions and hand out the pilgrim credentials and luggage transfer tags, as well as a few other gifts. You'll see they are very warm and fun.
Once settled at your accommodation, you can enjoy the pilgrim atmosphere of the town by strolling through its old quarter, or relaxing on one of its terraces by the river. Keep in mind that Tui is a border town with Portugal, separated from its neighbour only by the Miño river. In fact, Tui forms a Eurocity with Valença do Minho. It is also a mix of people, as pilgrims who, like you, are beginning the adventure meet here with pilgrims walking from Portugal.
