This first stage of the Route of Padre Sarmiento can be started from the city of Pontevedra, crossing the bridge of “O Burgo” towards Sanxenxo, passing through Poio, or directly from that town. During this stage, we will have the estuary as a protagonist until we reach Combarro, the village of the thousand hórreos and cruceiros. From Combarro, the route continues through coastal paths, coves and beautiful beaches, until it reaches Sanxenxo.

Subsequently, the coastline cuts inland on its arrival at the Seca promenade, to open up again towards the Pinela beach, presenting us with the iconic village of Combarro.

Here we can take a break to visit the beautiful village of Combarro.

Once we have resumed our march, we continue along the coastline of the province of Pontevedra, passing through Chancelas, O Covelo, Raxó and A Granxa, until we reach Sanxenxo.
